Friends of Redland High

Redland High has a thriving Parents' Association, bringing parents together through a fun programme of social events throughout the year.

The Friends of Redland High are a group of parents who, with the support of Caroline Bateson and Joe Eyles, organise events with the aim of raising money to provide 'extras' for the School, enhancing the Redland High experience for all the girls.  Events include the Firework Fiesta, Christmas Bazaar and Summer Fayre and a very popular Quiz and Curry Night.

The money raised from these events is used in a variety of ways.  Over the last 12 months the fundraising has allowed the Friends to provide:

  • Redland High's very own Gromit, as part of the Gromit Unleashed campaign.  This school sized model was turned into a literary Dalmatian by pupils from all parts of the School, as they decorated him with quotes from their favourite books.
  • Taster lessons and initial free instrument hire for each pupil on an instrument of their choice.
  • Baking equipment to get the Junior School baking.
The Friends also run the second hand clothes shop, which is open on the first Friday of each month.

Many thanks as always to the parents who are involved in the Friends.  Everyone is welcome and we appreciate any level of support.  It need not be a significant time commitment - we meet once or twice a term and focus our efforts on a small number of key events - and it is a great way to meet other parents.  For more information please email moc/hgihdnalder//sdneirf.
