Old Girls' Guild

Jan Yerbury, Chairman of the Guild The Old Girls' Guild is a flourishing organisation and currently has well over 1000 members. Its aim is to maintain close links between Old Girls and Redland High. The Chairman of the Guild, Jan Yerbury, is launching an exciting new series of events to continue and strengthen these links.

The administration of the Guild is managed by the Redland High Development Office and specifically by , who will be delighted to hear from you if you have any queries.

The Headmistress, Caroline Bateson, is President of the Guild and attends the AGM and the Summer Lunch as well as Committee meetings during the year ensuring that former Redlandites are always well informed about School life. The lunch, to which all members of the Old Girls' Guild are invited, is held on the Commemoration weekend and is an extremely pleasant occasion, greatly enjoyed by those who attend.  To read about this year's event click here.

Each year the Redland High magazine gives news of Old Girls which helps to reunite friends who may have lost touch over the years. Old Girls also receive School newsletters, which means they are well aware of developments within the School even if they live too far away to attend meetings.

There is a London Branch of the Guild which meets once a year, in November, to which all members who live or work in the London region would be most welcome. Details of last year's event are shown on the News page.

The Guild gets involved with many Redland High events, donates money for items of equipment and often helps with small contributions towards the cost of a gap year course or trip. The Guild has been particularly interested in the Sixth Form Young Enterprise competition and has actively promoted the work by inviting the girls involved to the AGM and circulating details of their products with mailings. Bursaries are also funded in the name of the Old Girls on a regular basis.

Girls attending Redland High are now invited to become life members of the Guild by paying a small fee each term. Ex pupils of the School who left before this system of Guild membership began or who elected not to participate in the scheme are warmly invited to join us. Lifetime membership is currently £85 and an annual subscription scheme is also available.

If you would like further details of how to join to the Guild please contact Linda Spencer-Small, either by email on or by telephone on 0117 9166711.
