Redland High Sixth Formers are regarded as young adults and as such are given freedom to manage their own time whilst growing in a structured, supportive environment.
For example, although they follow a structured timetable, they are able to use free periods as they wish, provided their work is up to date, wear smart casual clothes of their own choice, choose their own study programme beyond the core timetable, have a block of time when they may study at home or pursue an interest in the wider community, choose from a wide variety of physical activities, e.g., squash, swimming, badminton, tennis and weight training.
Our A level examination results, year on year, speak for themselves but we offer so much more besides. The Sixth Form is housed in the self-contained Mary Crook Centre, which contains classrooms, a very large study room with impressive computer facilities, a large common room and a student kitchen.
Our students also have their own delicatessen from which they may purchase snacks, drinks and lunches. Separate accommodation provides space to chat, to listen to music, to read, to relax whilst the use of many other facilities throughout the school ensures the students remain a vital part of the whole school.
The many extra-curricular activities also contribute to the life of Redland High Sixth Formers ensuring that, with the guidance and support of staff who know them, makes for a colourful and busy life and helps to develop their skills for work life balance - critical as they move into adulthood.
