Redland High School for Girls

The Harry Crook Prize for Enterprise and Innovation

The prize was shared this year between Siobhan Diffin and Amy McCutcheon. The prize is awarded annually for an enterprising or innovative idea in Art, Design, Technology or Textiles or through the development of a product in the Young Enterprise programme, and is generously supported by The Harry Crook Foundation

The £1,000 award was divided between Siobhan and Amy because they both produced such interesting and innovative ideas in their GCSE Textiles’ designs. Amy’s design for a coat which doubles as a sleeping bag and tent could be very useful for music festival goers. Siobhan focused on safety features in textile design. Their creativity was impressive and both girls are continuing to develop their skills at A Level, making the most of Redland High’s reputation for high quality Textiles teaching.
