World Wise Quiz with QEH

Recently, three teams (a record number) from Redland High competed in the Geographical Association's World Wise Quiz held at QEH School.

Altogether 17 teams from a variety of Bristol schools took part. Our teams put up a spirited fight against strong competition in each of their rounds, where the questions ranged widely, taking in OS maps, British Landmarks, Geography in the News, Alphabet Run and Name the Country.  All the students had a great deal of fun and learnt some new British and World Geography along the way!

The Geography department would like to thank the large number of pupils who volunteered to take part in the Quiz as well as the spectators who supported them on the night. All the teams stayed to watch the final, which a QEH team won for the second year in a row with a runaway score. Here at Redland High the Year 10s have already begun training for next year's competition - when we hope to see a Redland High win!
